Privacy Policy

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Mobile number — your primary identity on AnimStok. Used for login and WhatsApp notifications.
• Name & Business name — displayed on your public profile and listings.
• State & City — used to show relevant local listings and mandi rates.
• Listing content — photos, breed, price, quantity, and description you provide when listing stock.
• Enquiry data — when you submit an enquiry, your name, phone, and message are stored and shared with the listing seller.
• Usage data — pages visited, search queries (anonymised, for improving the Platform).

• We do not collect passwords (login is phone-based, no OTP currently).
• We do not collect payment information — all transactions happen directly between users.
• We do not collect Aadhaar, PAN, or government ID.
• We do not use cookies for tracking beyond basic session management.

• To display your public profile and listings to potential buyers/sellers.
• To send you WhatsApp notifications when a buyer enquires about your listing (sellers only, if Twilio is enabled).
• To personalise mandi rates and listings based on your state/city.
• To improve the Platform through anonymised usage analytics.
• To contact you about important Platform updates (only via the mobile number you provided).

We share your data only in these limited cases:

• With other users (limited): When you submit an enquiry, your name, mobile number, and city are shared with the listing seller. This is the core function of the marketplace.
• WhatsApp (Twilio): If you are a seller and have a listing, enquiry notification messages may be sent via Twilio's WhatsApp API on your behalf. Twilio processes message data per their own privacy policy.
• Supabase: Our database provider. Data is stored securely on Supabase servers (AWS region). Supabase does not use your data for their own purposes.
• Law enforcement: We will share data if required by Indian law, court order, or government authority.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) servers. We implement standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls.

However, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct — update incorrect information via your profile page.
• Delete — request deletion of your account and associated data. Contact us via WhatsApp or email.
• Opt out — opt out of WhatsApp notifications by contacting us.

We will respond to all requests within 30 days, as per the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

AnimStok is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us their data, please contact us for immediate removal.

Mandi rates displayed on AnimStok are sourced from public market data, manual inputs by our team, and user-contributed updates. This data is indicative only and not a guarantee of actual market prices. We do not accept liability for trading decisions made based on rates shown on the Platform.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the Platform or the mobile number on file. Continued use of AnimStok after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
